Iowa weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend as part of Lillian's spring break in Iowa at the farm! The guys spent time working on the planter while the women had a baby shower for Angie! The weather was wonderful and the kids really enjoyed that they could spend so much time outdoors!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful weekend here, although it was surprisingly busy! Friday night I had to sing and Jason had nursery duty at church, and he had quite the crowd! Sunday I had to sing 3 services (yikes!) and Patrick and Kutu joined us mid-afternoon for an Easter feast (as Lillian calls it!) and Patrick also sang in our church's evening service. We were missing my parents as my dad isn't feeling the greatest, but we're hoping they'll make it here next weekend!

Puppy James

Ever since Bapa, Mema and Maestro were last here James has taken to laying on the backs of the couch and telling us he's "Maestro". For those of you how know my parents and their dog I thought you'd get a kick out of this. Yes, those are my parents olds couches and that is EXACTLY how Maestro lays on them!

A taste of spring!

We've been loving the warmer weather this past week! The kids were so excited to open the sandbox and break out the sidewalk chalk! James has even figured out how to pedal his big wheels finally!

So....I've been informed by my loving husband and 2 cousins that I need to update this a little more frequently! Only a month late, here are some more of James' birthday pictures!

James's cake! He loves Blues Clues so that's what Mommy made this year! Those of you who know me know that I cheated this year and used an already molded pan to create Blue puppy!

Last night we gave James a trim and I was trying to get a picture. He was holding up a yellow comb, but the way the picture came out I think it looks like a lightsaber!

I can hardly believe how quickly he's growing up! I'll post more pictures later of his birthday party! We're celebrating today with just the 4 of us and on Saturday with the grandparents.
