1st day of 1st grade!

I can't believe how big she's getting! Lilli headed off to her 1st day of 1st grade this morning! She's very excited that her 3 best friends are all in her class!

Fun with Friends Weekend

Good friends of ours come down every summer for a trip to the zoo. We had a great day. It was a little hot, but not too bad. I can't believe how big they're all getting!

VBS round 2!

I was thrilled when a friend invited us to VBS at her church a few weeks ago. Lillian can't wait for 1st grade and having something to do for a week definitely helped take her mind off of the wait!

Expanding the Culinary Palate...

James has always been a crazy picky eater. However, as he catches up with his language delays we find that he's eating much better. The reasons are 2-fold. First of all, he simply wants to do what Lilli is doing and secondly, he now finally understands us when we tell him "you need to eat 1 bite before you may be excused". What a blessing!! So...here he is, eating a BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and corn on the cob with beef and POTATOES (which he'd never eat before, go figure!). It sure is making mama's meal planning a whole lot easier!

James came out of his room looking like he was all ready to build. I asked him what he was making and he answered "A cake with Builder Bob". I thought it was too cute not to share!
